The St. Paul's Episcopal Church is on the crest of the hill above the town and the Yadkin River, on Cowles Street. It was completed in 1849, one of the earliest consecrated in the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. It is a good example of small parish gothic revival churches, much in its original condition.
